Keeping the more 6,000 employees of Georgia’s 41 EMCs safe on the job and their job performance at its best are the goals of Georgia EMC’s Training & Safety Department. To do so, we provide and conduct a comprehensive curriculum of training programs year round.

Georgia’s EMCs also actively participate in the annual Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo, which tests and showcases the complex nature of electric line worker skills.

Georgia EMC’s seasoned Safety & Training staff also provides coordination for:

• Statewide EMC Disaster Response Plan + Mutual Aid Agreements
• NRECA’s Safety Accreditation Program within member EMCs
• Monthly safety meetings at member EMCs
