OVERVIEW: Cooperative accounting is industry specific with rules, regulations and guidelines outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations. For non-accounting personnel these can be challenging to navigate with limited understanding of general accounting rules. This course is designed to facilitate a working knowledge of cooperative accounting with the limited general knowledge and apply the basic cooperative accounting principles to areas such as work orders, basic Form 7 understanding, and budgeting for capital and operational needs. This course will also cover how to read and understand cooperative financial statements including Statement of Margins and Balance Sheet.
Those who would benefit include: o Non-accountants who desire to learn more about the general cooperative finances or those who are responsible for budgeting
