(full day for Initial Blue Card)

This one-day fundamentals course is required to obtain an initial Blue Card to become Certified Personnel. Instruction is designed to train anyone involved in land disturbance in the proper installation, maintenance and inspection of Best Management Practices (BMPs) on construction sites. Additional topics include basics of erosion and sedimentation; the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Act; stream impact; state water buffers; National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits; vegetative and structural best management practices; and field maintenance.
