The Distribution Line Design and Certification Programs provide essential training for field engineering personnel.  The Level II training is intended for those individuals that have successfully completed Level I training and have three or more (3+) years of distribution line design experience.

The Level II training class covers the fundamentals of distribution line design.  Participants design a three phase overhead pole line that encompasses learning about RUS assemblies, clearances, pole classing, guy tensions and transformer loading.  An overview of the National Electrical Safety Code is covered during the training along with a discussion about legal liability.

The Level II course includes hands on experience in the classroom and in the field.  The skills and knowledge learned during the course are essential for those who design and maintain distribution power lines.

Items recommended for each participant includes:  2017 National Electrical Safety Code, RUS 25 KV or 15 KV Line Construction Specs, Engineering Scale, Protractor, Basic Scientific Calculator and High Visibility Traffic Vest

Our Mission: Provide leadership and unity through advocacy, education and communications.
